TYRC Online Learning Event: (1st of a 3 part series) Protecting Our Most Vulnerable – Unsheltered and Runaway Native Youth | April 13, 2023

Session Description:

This will be the first of a three-part TYRC Online Learning Event series focused on the needs and current service gaps of unsheltered and runaway Native youth across the country. The three-part series will also provide information on the correlation between unsheltered and runaway Native youth with being at a higher risk of becoming a victim of sex trafficking and human trafficking or becoming justice involved. The three-part series will include structured PPT presentations and interactive activities that will increase participants’ knowledge of the issue, impacts of these issues on Native communities, and increase knowledge of prevention & interventions strategies to reduce the occurrence of unsheltered and runaway youth in Native communities. Participants will also be provided tools and resources to support seeding work in their Native community on the issue if they choose.
