The United States Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) invites Tribal leaders to participate in a Tribal Consultation regarding how current and potential future tribal set-aside funding from the federal Crime Victims Fund should be programmed. The Tribal Consultation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. OVC’s Tribal Consultation begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues to 12:00 p.m., with a break for lunch (on your own) from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., and then the Consultation resumes from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Consultation will be held at the Silver Creek Event Center at the Four Winds Casino Resort (11111 Wilson Road) in New Buffalo, Michigan, hosted by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.
If you are unable to attend the Tribal Consultation in-person, we strongly encourage you to submit written comments to OVC. We will accept written comments from tribal leaders until 5 p.m. Eastern Time on September 16, 2019. Please submit your comments by e-mail to ovctribalsetaside@ojp.usdoj.gov.
